Brown and White notch third place finishes

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The St. Bonaventure men's and women's cross country teams both picked up third place finishes in the Little Three Championships at Cazenovia Golf Course earlier this afternoon. Canisius registered the top spot in both the men's and women's field. For the fourth straight race, freshman Caitlin Palmer paced the Brown and White en route to a program best seventh place finish in this afternoon's race. Palmer posted a time of 20:19. Following Palmer, freshmen Keelan O'Connell (21:41) and Kimberly Fuller (23:51) notched 17th and 20th place finishes, respectively. Sophomore Ashley Sandau (23:51) and freshmen Tabitha Slachciak (24:10) and Dana Phillips (24:41) rounded out the Bona women runners. For the first time this season, sophomore David Herlihy (14th place) posted the top time for the men with a time of 26:53. After pacing the Bonnies in their first three meets, junior Justin Isaman finished four seconds behind Herlihy for a 15th place result. Sophomore Casey Krug was the next Bonnie to cross the finish line with a time of 27:09. Sophomore Michael Grosso (28:09), freshmen Thomas Good (28:11), Jimmy Burton (28:32), Thomas Rosetti (29:37) and Scott Shelters (30:03) as well as senior James Corke (30:10) rounded out the men's field.
In his collegiate debut, freshman Rahkeem Wright (30:02) posted a 28th place finish for the Bonnies. The Brown and White return to action for the club's annual SBU Alumni Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 11:00 a.m. |
