Tom Hagen is in his tenth season as men's and women's cross country coach at St. Bonaventure. In addition to the last six seasons, Hagen previously served as the Bonnies' coach for the 1994, 1995 and 1996 seasons. In his first season as head coach, Hagen led the women's team to its first non-losing season ever. He followed that up in 1995 by helping the men finish .500 for the first time since 1987. His ties to St. Bonaventure go back nine years. Hagen began as a professor of military science in charge of the ROTC program at St. Bonaventure from 1993-96. Hagen is a 1979 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned his master's degree from the University of Phoenix in 1991. After serving 22 years in the United States Army, he retired from his post in 1999. Hagen is also employed by the Allegany-Limestone School District, where he serves as technology coordinator. He is also assistant coach of the boys' wrestling team. Tom and his wife, Sue, reside in Allegany. Sue works in the biology department of St. Bonaventure. |
