Kristin Brunetto is entering her second season as an assistant coach for the St. Bonaventure softball program. Brunetto joined the coaching ranks in 2007 after enjoying four successful seasons on the field for the Bonnies.
A four-year starter for the Brown and White, Brunetto positioned herself near the top of several offensive categories in the program record books. Brunetto finished her career tied for fourth place in career hits with 115 and sits third in runs scored with 81. Her seven home runs rank fifth place in St. Bonaventure softball history. She also currently holds the program record in walks with 61.
Brunetto helped navigate the Bonnies to consecutive Atlantic 10 tournament berths in 2005 and 2006. In her first appearance in the postseason, the junior outfielder was selected to the 2005 A-10 All-Tournament Team after blasting a two-run home run in the opening round against Fordham. Following her final season on the field, she earned honorable mention Atlantic 10 All-Conference honors after driving in 11 RBI with 35 hits.
The Depew, N.Y. native also excelled in the classroom during her stint with the Bonnies. She received A-10 Academic All-Conference accolades as a senior and was selected to the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll following her sophomore and junior years.
Her duties with the Brown and White include coaching the club's outfielders and assisting in hitting instruction.
Brunetto graduated from St. Bonaventure in 2006 with a degree in finance and is currently pursuing her master's degree in counseling.
