5/10/08 Sotak signs pro contract to play in Iceland Just one day away from graduating from St. Bonaventure with a degree in psychology and a double-minor in Spanish and business administration, senior women's soccer student-athlete Kristin Sotak has decided to extend her career, signing a contract to play professional soccer in Iceland. Sotak will play for Fjolnir FC, which participates in the Icelandic Premier League that consists of 10 teams. Fjolnir FC is located in a suburban area of Iceland's capital, Reykjavik. (more)
4/24/08 Van Riper inks NLI to join Bona women's soccer Just a few days removed from closing its spring season with a 3-0 win over Youngstown State at Aquinas High School in Rochester, head coach Manoj Khettry announced the signing of Massachusetts product Shannon Van Riper to a National Letter of Intent, giving the Bonnies 10 incoming freshmen next fall. The 2008 incoming class now stands at 10. (more)
4/7/08 Women's soccer captures Houghton Indoor Tournament The St. Bonaventure Women's Soccer Team dominated the Houghton Indoor Tournament this past Saturday winning all four games while scoring 12 goals and allowing just two. The Bonnies' four wins came in the tournament's 5v5 style format and featured 22-minute contests. The Bonnies continue their spring campaign this Saturday, April 12, with three games against Big 4 rivals Buffalo, Canisius and Niagara. (more)
