Wednesday's lacrosse game vs. No. 14 Oregon moved to Corning
March 25, 2008
ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Five games into the 2008 season, the St. Bonaventure women's lacrosse will have to wait a little longer to play its first home game. After having their first two home games cancelled and moved, the Bonnies were scheduled to make their McGraw-Jennings debut on Wednesday against No. 14 Oregon, but unplayable field conditions have forced the game to be moved to Corning, N.Y. The site of the game will now be Corning Memorial Stadium at 1 p.m., a place the Brown and White are familiar with. St. Bonaventure played its first four games of the 2006 season at Corning Memorial Stadium, going a perfect 4-0 over that span. The Brown and White hosted the 2004 Atlantic 10 Tournament in Corning and are 4-2 all-time at the Stadium. St. Bonaventure is 1-4 on the season and has one game cancelled due to weather. The nationally-ranked Ducks come in with a 7-3 mark and two wins over ranked opponents. The Bonnies traveled to Eugene, Ore., last season for the first meeting between the two clubs. Oregon prevailed 13-10 in the season-opener for both teams.
