"What is success? I think it is a mixture of having a flair for the thing that you are doing; knowing that it is not enough, that you have got to have hard work and a certain sense of purpose." - Margaret Thatcher
Allow me to share some randomness with you all for a second. While chilling in the Atlanta Airport I had time to sit and ponder on life. Every now and then I get the strangest feeling that my life is like a movie (No not Anaconda or Snakes on a Plane). But seriously, do you guys ever feel that way? You know during the course of a week we go through so many experiences and feel so many emotions that sometimes I can't help to see my life as an impromptu film co-starring the world. Do you ever just wake up and know that day was going to be great or wake up and know its going to be a tough one? Do you ever wonder who's watching your movie? Maybe when we experience Deja Vu we're simply experiencing someone pressing rewind and when time seems to fly its being fast forwarded. (Have I lost You Yet?)
Anyways, it's crazy but we are actually in the final stretch of the season! It seems like just weeks ago I was running pre-season sprints and only days ago since I was writing you guys about our six-game winning streak. We've got four games left which means four great chances to expand our win total and get into the Atlantic 10 Tournament (And get a good-quality seeding of course). I must admit we've struggled a bit but it happens to the best and we will definitely bounce back. After a couple days of preparation we will head out to Philly (Hometown of Ash, Meg and Dana) to take on the Hawks of St. Joes. This will be our last road trip of the season so were hoping to come out with a win (And some Philly cheese steaks if I'm lucky … haha).
This season has had its moments of action, suspense, comedy, and even horror at times. Although the fact that I'm not a fan of cheesy endings, I'd love this movie to end with the Bonnies being victorious. Success is usually measured by the amount of wins you amass but I believe there are other aspects of success that are immeasurable. In all of my years as an athlete I have never had a team or coaches that were more dedicated, caring, and adamant about winning in life as well as on the court. These people have helped me thrive as an athlete and more importantly as a person and I'd like to take time to thank them for everything (Luv ya Bonnies!!). So with that said I hope you've enjoyed reading this entry and oh I almost forgot to say hey to my buddy holding it down in Germ (See you soon. REAL SOON!). So until next time around
Peace and Believe in Brown!
