Bonnies ink three NLIs during early signing period


Dana Mitchell

At A Glance
A four-year starter, Mitchell finished with a school record 1,757 career points, a figure which ranks third all-time in Lower Bucks County ... this past June she was named the 2005-06 Philadelphia Inquirer Female Athlete of the Year ... played under head coach Donna Nicholson.

As A Senior
Mitchell led Pennsbury West to a school record 27 wins, a share of the Suburban One National Conference (SOL) and the second round of the PIAA Class AAAA state tournament ... she scored a single season record 746 points to finish third all-time in scoring in Lower Bucks County with 1,757 career points ... in 2005-06, she averaged 24.1 points per game, 11.1 rebounds, 3.6 steals and two assists ... she was named Courier Times Player of the Year, second team All-State and All-SOL National first team ... scored 20 or more points 24 times and reached at least 30 points five times.

As A Junior
The 6-foot-1 Mitchell averaged 20.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, 4.2 steals and three assists per game in her junior campaign at Pennsbury ... helped guide the Falcons to 17-9 record in 2005, their best record since 2000 ... her 20.8 points per game led the conference and earned her a spot on the Suburban League first team ... she was the first player in school history to surpass the 1,000-point plateau as a junior.

"Dana is a very gifted athlete who has a great passion for the game. She is a terrific rebounder that has good timing, solid leaping ability, and great hands. She also can put the ball in the basket as she showed during AAU games, scoring over 30 points a number of times. Dana fills a need we have inside and will be competing for time as soon as she walks on campus."

Andrea Doneth
5-11 * Guard/Forward

At A Glance
A two-time Associated Press Class B All-State first team selection, the 5-foot-11 Doneth led the Cougars to a 64-10 record in her three seasons ... she was coached by her father Dan Doneth.

As A Senior
A McDonald's All-American nominee, Doneth averaged 17 points, 6.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists and 4.0 steals per game in her senior campaign ... in 2005, she helped guide Lansing Catholic to a 17-3 record and a spot in the Capital Area Athletic Conference playoffs.

As A Junior
As a junior, she averaged 14.6 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game ... was named to the Lasing State Mid-Michigan Dream Team and Detroit Free Press Class B All-State team.

"Andrea is a true basketball player who loves to compete. She handles the point for her high school team, but also will get inside to score and rebound. Her versatility and all-around game will be an asset to us right away. She will fit in very well with the way we like to play offense."

Julie Molloy

A four-year starter at point guard for Grove City High School ... finished her career with 1,206 points ... coached by Roger Flynn.

As A Senior
In 2005-06, was named to the Pennsylvania Class AAA All-State second team and the first team All-Butler County ... averaged 21.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.7 steals per game ... drained 71 three-pointers in 23 games.

As A Junior
She averaged 14.2 points per game in her junior year ... she led the Lady Eagles to a 15-9 record and a berth in the Mercer County Athletic Conference playoffs ... she drained 47 three-pointers and dished out 80 assists en route to her second consecutive MCAC All-Conference first team selection ... the 5-foot-9 guard was also named to the Butler County All-Star team and MVP of the Kiser Classic.

"Julie is a solid athlete and very good passer, but her calling card is her jump shot. "She played some point in high school, but in AAU she played away from the ball and really shined. She understands how to play without the ball and how to get shots for her teammates and herself."
