Snake Eyes - Entry 3

Jan. 31, 2007

Where do I begin?

Allow me to catch you up to speed in the form of a brief timeline:

  • We beat Richmond in OT (Big Win!)
  • Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are officially running for president (Can you say dream come true!)
  • I saw the movie "Stomp the Yard" finally which was great by the way!
Now that I've gotten you all caught up I'll pick up from our most recent road trip where we finished at an even 1-1. We began our little road trip down in my hometown of NYC to take on the Rams of Fordham University. My mother and sisters rarely get the chance to see me play and since I've been at St. Bonaventure this game has become kind of like a family tradition. Along with my family I had about 20 something of my closest friends and former teammates there so it was a great opportunity to play in front of them. For those of you that keep track of our history you know it's been a while since we beat Fordham especially down in Rose Hill so it was great to pick up the win!

After that game we headed out to Cincinnati to play Xavier. It wasn't one of our best games as the scoreboard showed, but we all know if you turnover the ball frequently against a good team the chances of winning are slim. We were greeted back to Western New York by what else than, you guessed it, SNOW and lots of it! You know snow is cool at first when it's all fresh and shiny, but I'm used to that city snow that turns all brown and slushy after a day or two. The kind that taxi's spew at you while you standing on the side walk (ahh how I miss the city).

Anyways, we got a big weekend of B-ball coming up with two important HOME games versus Dayton on Friday and UMass on Sunday. Now, I already know what you're thinking. "Home games in the Reilly Center all weekend? I'm definitely coming to show my support!" And I can't wait to see you there! Haha! See, were trying to make history this year and racking up two conference wins on homecoming weekend would not only be historical but pretty sweet! Other than that I'm living good, classes are groovy and everything is everything. So until next time...

I'll Holla!
Snake
