Jacey Brooks enters her first season in the role of director of basketball operations for the St. Bonaventure women's basketball program. The Machias, N.Y. native brings energy and a strong passion for the game of basketball to the Bonnies.
In her current role with the Brown and White, Brooks will assist in the day-to-day operations of the team, including program organization, travel and video exchange. This past season, Brooks finished her playing career at Buffalo State College as the fourth leading scorer in program history with 1,219 points. The four-year captain was a two-time All-SUNYAC performer and helped lead the Bengals to three straight SUNYAC tournaments in her first three seasons on the court. Brooks culminated her career with averages of 11.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Her 554 rebounds place her ninth on the school's all-time rebounding chart and she currently holds the single-season record for highest free throw percentage at a rate of 81 percent. Brooks is one of only nine players in program history to surpass 400 points in a season with 419 as a junior. Prior to her arrival at St. Bonaventure, Brooks was an assistant coach for the Western region in the women's open division at this summer's Empire State Games. The Franklinville High School graduate earned a bachelor of science degree in health and wellness from Buffalo State College in 2006. During her collegiate career, she was a perennial selection to the SUNYAC All-Academic Team and the conference Commissioner's List. The Jacey Brooks File Personal Hometown: Machias, N.Y.
