3/5/08 Pair of senior swimmers earn All-Conference honors Seniors Scott Jordan and James Wood have both been selected to the Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference team in voting conducted by the league's sports information directors, announced on Wednesday afternoon. This is the first postseason distinction for Jordan, while Wood captured a spot on the Academic All-Conference squad last season as well. (more)
2/23/08 Men take home silver, women finish sixth on final day of Atlantic 10 Championships The St. Bonaventure men's swimming and diving team repeated their second place performance from a year ago, while the Bona women finished in sixth place at the conclusion of the four-day Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday evening at the Flickinger Center. For the Bona women, senior Anneli Johnson posted the team's best finish on the evening, nabbing the second spot in the 200-yard breaststroke with a season top time of 2:18.23. (more)
2/22/08 Men still in second, women stuck in sixth on Day Three The men's swimmers and divers bolstered their second place spot over third-place Duquesne, while the women's team couldn't gain ground during day three of the Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday evening. After the third day of competition, the University of Richmond women continue to dominate the field wih 465 points. Xavier is in a distant second (331), followed by Duquesne in third (304). Fordham (273) moved into fourth place, while Massachusetts (271) dropped to fifth. Despite improving their point total to over 200 total points, the Bona women remain in sixth place (222). La Salle (160), Rhode Island (158), George Washington (136) and St. Louis (133) rounded out the standings, taking places seven through ten. (more)
