ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. -
Despite swimming in just his fourth meet with the Brown and White, freshman Dawid Kundzik earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors after helping his team to a 139-100 victory over Buffalo on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
After joining the Bonnies at the beginning of the second semester, Kundzik has wasted little time in making a positive impact in the pool as the Brown and White have posted a 3-1 dual meet mark since his addition to the roster.
The Radom, Poland native posted his sixth individual first place result against the Bulls by capturing the top spot in the 200-yard butterfly in a personal-best time of 1:56.39. He also helped guide a pair of Bona relays to first place finishes in the 200 and 400-yard freestyle relays.
Kundzik and the Bonnies will return to the water on Wednesday, Feb. 20 for the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center on the campus of Erie Community College. St. Bonaventure will host the season-ending final meet for 13th straight year.
