ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - St. Bonaventure freshman shortstop Jesse Bosnik has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week for the period ending May 12, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Bosnik enjoyed a solid weekend series at Saint Joseph's, recording two hits in all three games. The St. Marys, Pa. product drove in a season-high four runs in the team's series-clinching win on Sunday and went 6-for-14 for the series.

For the season, Bosnik is batting .253 at the plate and ranks fifth on the team with 43 hits, highlighted by 10 doubles. He is one of three players to start all 47 games this season and has 10 multi-hit games.

Bosnik and the Bonnies will return to action on Tuesday in a non-conference tilt against Niagara before heading to Richmond in search of clinching a spot in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. First pitch on Tuesday at Fred Handler Park against the Purple Eagles is scheduled for 2 p.m.
