Following a successful four years as a players and student at St. Bonaventure, Shane Sudbrook was named an assistant coach for the Bonnies in the summer of 2005.
Sudbrook follows in the footsteps of his father, Larry, who is the Bonnies' head coach. Shane will work with the Bonnies' hitters and also help set defensive strategies and fundamentals.
Shane graduated from St. Bonaventure in May with a bachelor's degree in sociology. A four-year letterwinner, the Bradford, Pa., native earned a starting role at second base his senior year and batted a career-high .316. In 2004, he helped the Bonnies win the Atlantic 10 and earn the program's first NCAA Tournament berth.
Sudbrook will pursue a master's degree at St. Bonaventure in addition to his coaching responsibilities.
