Matt Pappano enters his first year as the Assistant Sports Information Director at St. Bonaventure University.
Pappano serves as the primary contact for the women's basketball program as well as several other sports within the athletics department. He also assists in the supervision of the athletic communications intern staff.
This past summer, Pappano served as the assistant camp director for the Mark Schmidt Basketball School prior to his arrival in the sports information office. His responsibilities included scheduling, promotions, finances and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the four session camp.
Pappano graduated from St. Bonaventure in 2007 with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism/mass communication. While an undergraduate student, he served as the Head Student Assistant for the men's basketball program throughout his four years at the school. During his stint on the Bonnies' staff, Pappano assisted in multiple facets within the program, including video production, scouting, travel and practice and game preparation.
A native of Grand Island, N.Y., Pappano is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
