Sophomore A.J. Hawkins is the GoBonnies.com/Community Bank Athlete of the Week for the period ending Feb. 11. Over two games last week, Hawkins averaged 23.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. He went 8-11 from three-point range over the two contests. The 6-foot-5 small forward opened the week with 23 points at Temple on Feb. 7, hitting a career-high four three-point field goals in six attempts. Hawkins also added three assists in the game with the Owls. On Feb. 10 at home against Dayton, Hawkins poured in a game-high 24 points on 7-10 shooting including a 4-5 performance from three-point range and 6-6 at the free throw line. For the season, the Edmond, Okla., native is averaging 11.0 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
